CNC technical school

Quesnel TEC is one of two Technical Education Centers designed for the College of New Caledonia, securing their position as leaders of trades and technology education in Northern BC. The new facility connects to the existing campus building with elements clearly articulated to express their use, and modulated to ensure flexibility. The design takes advantage of solar orientation with a central atrium arranging workshop spaces to the north, and classroom and staff areas to the south overlooking the Fraser River. Material selection is intentionally industrial and appropriate to its purpose with local wood products being showcased in public areas. The building is LEED Gold certified.
